I was asked to help out on the Okutama, Japan track.
This involved some work placing objects, fixing up the skid mapping and the road markings.
I was also given the task of coming up with a suitably impressive start area for the races. I found some reference photos as the broad basis for the area and went to work sculpting the mountainside into terraces, adding stairs, walls, gardens and pathways. I also helped find reference for the visitors centre and suggested the rear viewing platform so you can see it as you approach up the winding mountain road. I then created the car park and paved area for the building to sit on completing the start area for the races.
There was a further temple area in the track that needed some attention so I was asked to improve it. Again I created a terraced garden area with temple buildings, a car park and gardens which looks suitably impressive in the misty morning when it's silhouetted against the sky.
